The nurses are available for blood pressure checks, smoking cessation advice, asthma/chest clinic reviews, travel health information and vaccination, contraceptive advice and pill checks, weighing, simple acute wound care and suture removal. They also offer a cytology clinic.

Community Midwives

Our Community Midwives can be contacted in an emergency through Chorley and District Hospital maternity ward on 01257 245109.

Community Nurses

The nurses provide a vital link between the practice, the infirm elderly and those recently discharged from hospital. The hospital and your own doctor can refer you to them. They can be contacted at the Bamber Bridge Clinic between 13:30 - 14:30 on 01772 556745.

Health Visitors

The health visitor, along with the nursery nurse, provide advice on health care, particularly for new mothers and pre-school children. They are available by contacting Bamber Bridge Clinic on 01772 644676.

Community Psychiatric Nurses

The community psychiatric nurses are based at the Pathways Centre in Bamber Bridge.
